Hai thar.
So yeah – I was supposed to hand in my sketchbook today, but thanks to a perfectly placed interview, and the fact that paint seems to take longer than an hour to dry; I managed to skip both lessons. <3 Interview was awesome…and I picked up some more ink/a calligraphy pen (I have no idea what they’re actually called
) too, so I can start inking the actual main part of my comic, beyond the prologue – in its sketchy format. I only hope I can use the c. pen right. I mean, I’ve used fountain pens in the past – but never assembled one…and they never did work properly. LOLOL. It’s going to be quite amusing. Me sitting there with a pen and a jar of ink. xD
So yeah. I have 2 days to finish my art coursework, and it’s killing me. I have to think of some really awesome idea involving Da Vinci, Realism and a crinkled paper effect. I don’t even know HOW to do the crinkled paper thing, let alone what the hell to draw. And it’s got to take me 10 hours. I can’t afford to be finished before the 10 hours are up…I’d just be sitting there, doing nothing. So it’s got to be elaborate, but not too time-consuming.
I thought about incorporating comic styles, and doing 3 portraits (Realism) in the style of Da Vinci, but with motion and speech bubbles or something. Like a comic strip. But that’d mean that I’d then have to do even MORE on my Artist’s Link – and my teacher seems to like confirming if I’m actually allowed to do things before I do them. You’d think a GCSE student would get more of a say in what they do than a Year 9 – but you’d be sadly mistaken. And apparently it’s no different at college: so I’ve got the next two years to suffer from orders and demands.
I’m thinking about dropping Art AS off my lists altogether and just commissioning in my spare time. Might get me further than a piece of paper anyway.
