I don’t forget about this place.
I’ve been dealing with hell for 6 weeks, in the way of a design. On the plus side, I might just have a domain idea for my novel site…but…I’m going to have to keep that a secret, until my design for that also, is sorted…or else someone might snatch up the domain; as people do.
Not that anyone would want to. I mean, it’s in spanish…so…Who knows.
Design for this site is…going ‘alright’, I suppose. Not brilliantly…but it’s not terrible either. I have a finalised look for things, in fact. It’s just a matter of sitting down and putting it up…and, still no sign of an idea for the front page. I’d REALLY like to get the front page working, rather than just being a stand in chocobo picture…which it’s been since before I even started the site, when it was just a testing area work in progress…
It’d be nice to actually get things done around here. College is starting…has started, rather…and apparently I’m in some wierd building for half of my lessons.
But at least I have everything else in the main building. D: Shame, that. I finally thought I’d managed to get all of my lessons in the same place.
Swipe cards are hell for getting in and out of places, in large crowds…especially now the AS students are there. I liked it a lot more when it was just our group; after the A2s left earlier in the year.
This fails.
Okay, I admit it. Change doesn’t often work well for me, unless I plan it myself. I’m still a little irritated that I have different teachers for some of my lessons…’cause I really liked my old ones. But we’ll see how it goes. Looking on the brighter side, I should be happy that I wasn’t stuck in the General Studies crowd…I actually managed, by some bizarre stroke of luck, to get into Critical Thinking…which I’ve been praying for all week. Frustratingly, the quietest corridor in the college; which is next to my old Philosophy room (and believe me when I say that I’ve tried EVERY available corridor…), is a section of the building that I rarely need to use now.
But I suspect I’ll still go there to hang out and sketch/revise/write anyway, just because, my idea of studying doesn’t consist of sitting in a crowded room full of students, discussing everything they’ve seen on TV in the past year; nor does it contain absolute silence. So, corridors suit me fine. And that’s the best one…so, I’ll be taking permenant residence there every thursday, on my very long, four-hour-free time.
On that note…hopefully I’ll get things done in that time. Sketches, maybe. Chapters. New site. Who knows? I guess I’ll have to wait until January 2010, until I can be ‘really’ productive, with a macbook.
