On the plus side; I was informed that I did in fact write at A grade standard on my Philosophy papers…so I was given the wrong mark. I’m not really fussed if they give me another B on my remark, to be honest. Just knowing that I’m not a failure is good enough.

And I just finished a huge several-week-long task about three minutes ago, when I placed my £50 order for 500 business cards. I’m really surprised at how cheap they turned out – especially since I upped the features to double-sided glossy colour, foil and 3 day delivery. Some time next week, I should be sliding them into the little black envelopes that came today.

As it goes, though, I preferred the blue colouring on the cards to the red. I asked a few people, and apparently the red was a bit harsh…which has made me think a little about the site design. I never did manage to incorporate blue into it. Well, I’m about to correct that with some portraiture. I’m off to paint a colour portrait for the main page. I’m not sure how, or what theme I’m going for…but, I figured I should do something, since my current enter page is just a rush job that I made so I could put everything else in motion.

Not much to say at the moment. College has finished for 2009, and I have a hell of a lot of revision to get through. Philosophy mocks x 1000, biology mocks to find, biology AS unit 1 to revise, and the new A level unit…and Critical thinking – although I don’t think the latter will be difficult at all. I’ll probably end up stuck with a horrific ‘B’ grade again though. I really need to shake this string of Bs I keep being stuck with. It’s rather depressing to look at your report card and see a string of Bs. Makes me feel like a failure.

Anyhow, that’s what the new year’s for, right? My resolution and all – getting a good AAB for my A levels; and to crack down on the plot of my novel. Seriously, 40 drafts later; and I’m still asking if I should run with Rico’s past, or his present. Srsly, I don’t think I’m going to meet my “It’ll be done by the end of 2010″ quota. At this rate, I’ll still be scribbling chapters when people are looking up at the sky for the so-called apocalypse in two years time. LOL. I’m looking forward to the aftermath of  that – the transition between terror and the mocking of the naive for the rest of time.

Glad to see I’m on the Optimism boat now.

…Wait, how’d I get here? D: I was talking about snow! Uhh. Well, yeah. I guess I don’t have much to say. Making the most of the weekend, since I’ll start doing mock philosophy questions on Monday, and probably wont stop til Xmas. <3! I should get back to writing…

I just need to edit the entire structural system of the Photography and Digital Art sections, to make Fan Art, and Other; hence…when I’m done with that, I’ll need to have the tab things, the navigation system, edited…and then delete the wall of text; put in something else…Not sure what. Maybe a sentence, a few links and a recent changes or something…and then; I can finish working on my business cards.

I finally feel like I’m getting somewhere with all of this.

Wewwwwttt…New site design is finally up, after weeks of attempted designs! It’s being tweaked a little…and I need to edit the first page of the gallery…but despite all that, wewt; new layout!

I’m also printing some business cards…but I’m in the proccess of designing those. Not sure what to do. Trying to keep it simple, with a bit of foil on matt card. I’ll let you know what happens with them…take photos when I have them designed, paid for and recieved in the post. <3

Indeed; one more thing to note, would be the plan for a second site. For the novel? You’ll notice this is white box on black; and the gallery is black box on white…the novel site will be red box on black…white text. And I have an idea for a domain…and hence, a title for the overall series…but I can’t tell you that. I don’t want the domain to get snatched up :3

Skye has a tablet now! I trekked to PC World at the weekend and picked up a Bamboo Wacom for £65. For some reason, the wacom tablets in schools never really seem responsive…but mine is AWESOME. I’ve been painting all week…but I’ve only come up with:

As you can see, the background is just there so it looks okay when I submit to DA (hence, DA green), it’s still very smudgy; and I haven’t uploaded the full-scale image yet. I probably wont work on it again for a little while, but it’s good to know that I can still paint realism, even with a new tool.

It’s pretty much decided now, what I’m doing for my new site layout. I haven’t done any proper sketches, but I know where I’m going with it. The gallery will be a white box, red text on black; whilst the blog is the reverse. Rico’s going to be my little mascot (the current character I just -cant- stop drawing), mostly because out of all of them; he’s both my favourite to draw/my favourite in general; and he relates to me more than any of them. (Minus the eternal life thing…but, well, we have the same opinions on that. It’s not worth the trouble. And he’s not me, as such. But it’s the minor things that I give my OCs, really.) Oh, and following this theme; my novel site (still can’t think of a domain for it) will be red b/g, white/black text and front. Not sure which way around. I’ll see which I like more from the blog/gallery look.

So I’ll probably get to work on something at the weekend…at which point; when I do my site update; I’ll upload the tonnes of stuff I’ve not been putting up on here, clean up; and sort things out by character. It makes sense to just shove all the old stuff in singular folders; but with the amount of OC art I have now, it’s rather silly…so I’m going to go ahead and sort it in the same format as my DA gallery. Trust me. It looks a LOT better.

Ahr. I need to do some srsbsns updating to my site. There’s more or less no new art on there from my DA, at he6o.deviantart.com. I need to grab all that and put it over here some time…but then, I’m actually going to start working on my new site theme once I finish at college on Friday. I’m not changing the layout; so don’t worry about that. It wont  be complex or all over the place. I’m just altering some images; and changing the colour scheme.

Figured I should stop using my makeshift logo; and actually adopt a character of mine. It’s not like I don’t have enough of them by now. xD Honest to god; I have a sense of colour. I was planning to make the next pages Blue and yellow; but as you can see, I’ve opted to make my novels on a different site now. So that’s left me with pink and green…perhaps two of the worst colours for me to have been stuck with.

CHANNGEEE. I need some red/white/black coming on here. My usual colour scheme for everything. xD

…The title? Oh; well; that’s a little inside joke there, I suppose.
